About Zydus Lifesciences
Zydus, formerly Cadila Healthcare, holds the world's first permission for an adalimumab biosimilar, Exemptia, in 2014, and for pertuzumab, in 2024. It has eleven biosimilar molecules permitted in India, from epoetin in 2010 to aflibercept in 2025. In December 2025 its ranibizumab, Nufymco, became its first biosimilar approved in the United States, interchangeable from the start. Its pegylated interferon was the first of its kind anywhere and was given an emergency use in COVID-19.
